'Less numbers but everyone had a great time!'

The club's All Stars programme came to an end last month and left our group of youngsters itching for more cricket fun next season.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the sessions were delayed from their usual start time in May until the back end of the summer.

A much smaller group than in previous years participated in the ECB scheme but that did not dampen in the enthusiasm of those who joined in.

All Stars organiser Alun Davies said: "At one point it didn't look like All Stars would be happening at all because of the virus, so we were lucky that there was just about enough time left in the summer to get some cricket played.

"Even though we had reduced numbers all those that took part had a great time. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back in 2021.

"A huge thanks to Nick Hughes, plus Tom Owen and Jessica Owen for their help organising and running the sessions."

What is All Stars?

All Stars provides a fantastic first cricket experience for all children aged 5-8 years old where they’re guaranteed eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development.

The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport, teaching them new skills, helping them make new friends and have a great time doing so.
