The ECB are increasing welfare and safeguarding requirements

It has been a quiet season regarding any safeguarding and welfare issues - the Welfare Officers would like to thank all club members for their professionalism on the field and treating everyone with the respect they deserve - But please remember the Safeguarding Officers are your first point of contact for any incident or issue you have no matter how small.

Next season will be another challenging one as the ECB are looking at introducing more mandatory online safeguarding courses for captains, vice-captains and all committee members.
Captains and vice-captain’s, those likely to stand in for Captain's and Coaches will also need to have a First Aid certificate as well as a valid DBS certificate and in some circumstances will be required to complete the Safe Hands online course.
