Carol Owen and Emily Hart both made their debuts in what is only the team's their third-ever match and while it ended in defeat there were plenty of positives.

Hart and skipper Andrea Jones both claimed their first wickets, as all of Carmel's bowlers showed greater control with the ball in the match played at Northop Hall.

Suzi Peake was the star performer with the bat as she struck a crisp four in a top score of 10.
