With a late start due to m6 crash Ormskirk started without a warm up. With Mark Barratt as skipper for another week looking to get a win. Both sets of backs had a gentle start to the game as scrum-fest started with poor handling from both teams hard for ref to give anything but another scrum. Carnforth had a new pairing at 2nd row Donald Haddow and Robin Whittaker, With Liam Hall to No 8 As an experiment . Brian Albiston was at loose head using his experience to counter the threat Ormskirk well organised pack brought with an early domination of the scrum. Anyway whilst the Forward were shuffling finally got some ball to Kevin Hardy at scrum half to distribute.
