A good weekend for the ‘reds’ with the ‘senior’ club team defeating Michelin FC at home in the Saturday Morning League 1st Division by five goals to one which was well deserved considering their recent performances when they should have been more fruitful. The 17s who were making their debut in the Premier division of the South Belfast League lost against one of the best teams in the country at this age group as the 13s had a comfortable win against Wellington Rec down in Larne as they attempt to reach the latter stages of this competition. The small sided teams all had good results at under 8, 9 and 10 whilst the Carniny kids at their Football Development Centre for ages under 7, 6 and 5 completed the penultimate day of this set of sessions before the winter break. The FDC will resume again in February 2022 and details will come out shortly.

FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

This coming Saturday morning at St Louis Grammar School will be the last session of the Autumn Football Development Centre at the club. Currant members will all be invited to return and are given first refusal before being opened up to others for the next set of sessions which starts in February 2022. Many thanks to Irons Bakery for supplying snacks for coaches and parents on Saturday morning which was much appreciated.

CHARITY EVENT AT SPORTSHUT

The club are holding a fundraising football event at the SPORTSHUT in Cullybackey on 28th December, 2021 and is supported by the Irish Football Association and is for players at the club over 35 years of age.

FREE COACHING FOR GIRLS
