Carniny AYFC 7-0 SOPFC Swifts

Carniny U13’s started the game very brightly with Billy Wylie and James Robinson pulling the strings in midfield, making Carniny a constant threat going forward. Callum King opened the scoring after 10 minutes. The two wide men of Zack Fleck and Ben McCosh were causing havoc down the wings sending a constant flow of crosses into the box. The two strikers made the most of these opportunities Callum King scoring his second and Charly Gregg getting two in the first half. Plunkett came out strong in the second half trying to get at the Carniny back line with quick counter attacks but the centre halve pairing of Zack McAtamney and Reuben Burnett were on good form and able keep the attacks at bay.
The Carniny full backs Kyal Rainey and Sam Hilditch began to push forward more as the second half progressed. Sam doing well to win the ball out wide and then release the ball quickly to Charlie Gregg for his hatrick. Ben McCosh got on the score sheet when he dispossessed the defender in the box and slotted the ball into the bottom corner. Charly Gregg added another and probably the best goal of the game with a top corner rocket just inside the box. Great performance from the team on a cold and foggy night in Crumlin.
