Carniny played SOPFC knowing they needed nothing but a win to keep them in the title hunt and went one nil up after 19 seconds but SOPFC equalised straight after the kick off t make it one a piece. The score stayed the same way until 22nd minute when Bailey Young fired in. Carniny were starting to get the upper hand but the defence had to be on their toes. Then Sean Byrne made it 3-1 and shortly after Ryan Clarke made it 4-1.

The second half saw more of the same from Carniny even though the weather was awful and Joe Blair made it 5-1 and few minutes later Blair got his second, final score 6-1 t the Carniny boys.
