ALL SQUARE WITH THE 'BANK'

This Friday night game started evenly enough with both teams threatening without creating clear chances. Carniny then started to use the pitch and spread the play and forced a corner. Isaac Wylie whipped it in and Ashton Thompson met it but saw the ball come back off the post. Five mins later Thompson turned provider and Wylie smashed a left foot shot home. Willowbank threatened but Joel Aitcheson and Aoarn Calvert did well to contain them to long range efforts.

Willowbank came out strong in the second half and forced a corner. A good cross was converted for the equaliser. Carniny then weathered the storm and created chances of their own but their strikers couldn’t steer the ball home. In the end a fair result and Willowbank have certainly improved since the last meet in January.
