14s INCREASE UNBEATEN RUN

Carniny travelled to Carrick on Friday evening to play their division rivals and dominated the first half with some great attacking play. After 10 mins Joel Murray outpaced the full back to fire a low ball across and let Luis White stroke home for 1-0. Just before half time a corner was swung in by Isaac Wylie. It reached Murray and despite the keeper saving his 1st attempt he scored with his second.

Second half started and a poor clearance by Carrick gave Lewis McKee the chance to head past the keeper. Carrick threw caution to the wind and pushed men forward and got a goal back. Carrick now had the momentum and scored a second. They pushed but the resolute defending of Daniel Hayburn and Aaron Calvert kept Luke Elliott’s goal safe.

A tight game and the boys play Carrick again on Monday night but they extend their unbeaten run further.
