This was a must win game for the seniors to be in with any chance of automatic promotion.
They started brightly when only two mins in Danny McComb was through on goal but narrowly missed. The same player found himself through once again on 20 mins but this time made no mistake making it 1-0 to the visitors. The Antrim men equalised shortly after scoring from close range in a goal mouth scramble. It was s top start game with not much flowing football played by either team 1-1 at the break.
Shortly after the break the home side scored again with a well taken free kick and again to make it 3-1. Carniny then faced an uphill task when they had a man dismissed and a two goal deficit to claw back. It was only when they dropped to ten men that Carniny started to come back into the game and Scott Buxton won a penalty on 67 mins when he was tripped in the box as he dribbled in from the left flank. He duly stepped up and converted from the spot. Carniny kept the pressure on and on 80 mins Shane McWilliams scored inside the box to draw the score level at 3-3. Carniny pressed for the winning goal but in the end had to settle for a draw.
