On a wet night, the Seniors managed to get the win against a good Newpark side. Newpark had the majority of possession in the opening half but we had more clear cut chances and lead by virtue of a Lloyd White goal from close range ten minutes before the break.
In the second half Newpark pushed us hard and were on top when we broke away and James Price broke free and was brought down by the goalkeeper in the box which for many looked like a spot kick which was waved away.
Newpark continued to bombard the box and were unlucky not to get something from the game. A good game played in a good spirit despite challenging conditions.
