Michelin came out of the blocks very quickly and took the lead with only 3 minutes gone. They doubled their advantage a few minutes before the interval with the Amateurs struggling to find their form.
The conditions made it difficult for both teams in the second half as the game became a lot scrappier but a David Johnston free kick pulled one back for the Amateurs. Carniny kept the pressure on trying to get the important equalizer but the visitors held on to see out the game and take a valuable three point to see themselves draw level with the Amateurs.
