Carniny dominated this game from the kick off and were the first to open the scoring when Adam Mooney fed the ball to Matthew McComb who curled in a low shot out of reach of the 22nd keeper. the same man made it two on 30 minutes when he weaved in from the left hand side of the box to score from close range. good work from Aaron Johnston 2 mins before the break saw him weave in from the right and fire a shot towards goal that was deflected in to the goal by the home sides defender. 3-0 at the interval.
Substitute Peter McComb came on at the break and had an immediate impact scoring on 50 mins. McComb was in the thick of the action again 4 mins later when he was brought down in the box with brother Matthew stepping up to convert the resulting penalty to complete his hat trick. Carniny were guilty of being complacent and with 22nd not giving up they were rewarded with a goal 59 mins to make it 5-1. It wasn't long before Carniny replied when Mooney set up Johnston to restore the five goal advantage on 63 mins. Once again Carniny were caught with a mix up at the back to see 22nd scoring their 2nd to make it 6-2. Adam Mooney got himself on the scoresheet after several assists throughout the game, firing home form inside the box.
