Carniny Amateurs produced another fine performance against Dungiven U11 colts on Saturday. Carniny dictated the play for large sections of the game with Robinson and Nicholson combining well in midfield and Scullion causing the Dungiven defence problems with some strong runs. Wylie and McAtamney at the back dealt comfortably with anything the opposition had to offer and Parker in goals was as secure as ever.
Carniny deservedly took the lead through Rainey when he broke clear of the Dungiven defence and slammed into the net. It was mostly the same story in the second half until Dungiven managed to equalise after a scrappy piece of play in the Carniny box. Both teams looked for the equaliser but the game finished in a stalemate with Carniny feeling they had played well enough to take all the points.
