Carniny Amateurs v Ballycastle Colts
After a sleepy start where Ballycastle went into a deserved 3-0 lead. Carniny then decided to start playing. What a performance it turned out to be in only their second appearance in Coleraine. The whole team started to put in a shift and played some great football in the process. This all started with Tom McCarroll in goal. Not only did he make some great saves, he set up two of the goals with two great passes into midfield that opened up the Ballycastle defence. In front of him Oliver Rawle and Mark Kernohan where excellent, both strong in the tackle and now starting to pass the ball a lot better as well. The same can be said about Jeremiah Gallagher and Ryan Bruce in midfield. Both cover lots of ground but are also starting to show that composure that set up so many of our attacks. They where backed up by Jonah Porter who got on the score sheet with a long range effort that took a slight deflection on the way. As always Jonah’s passing was excellent but is now starting to show that bit of aggression needed. Up front we have three players that most teams will find it difficult to stop. Kristian McCaughey with three goals, two of them from distance. Jamie Percy with four goals showed some amazing trickery and quick feet and Harry Barr who got two great goals and a couple of great assists. Keep up the good work boys.
