Carniny AYFC v Bertie Peacock

There was a turnaround in their game in the HGFYL in Coleraine with the boys on the receiving end to Bertie Peacock’s Youth. The boys never really got going from the whistle and were always under pressure with the referee not fully enforcing the “first pass free” rule. Carniny did take the lead through a break away goal from Luke Murray but despite outstanding goalkeeping from Jamie Davidson the boys were behind at half time and went on to concede more goals in the second half. The boys deserve great credit for battling right to the end of the game and this will be a valuable experience for them.
