New Faces Are Unable to Save the Seconds

The Cons had 3 new recruits for their game against Grange Allstars, as they try to overcome the serious lack of player availability throughout the Club.

Matthew Bennett and Jack Phipps were able to bolster the defence with Tom Roadside coming into midfield for the home side's first game since the end of November.

The Cons went behind early on with Bennett unfortunately putting through his own net, and went 2-0 down on 25 minutes.

Jon Wheadon was able to pull one goal back on the half hour, but an Allstars strike just before the break gave the visitors a 3-1 lead at half time.

The Allstars increased their lead on the hour, but this was quickly reduced when Wheadon grabbed his second goal of the game, 2 minutes later.

Despite the home side creating a number of chances, 3 Allstars goals in 5 minutes, from the 75th minute, secured the win for visitors. However, player/manager Rob Baldock, who had come on as a second half substitute for the Cons, was able to score a consolation 3rd goal for his side in the 85th minute.
