It is with sadness that I write this article this morning, over the past two years both Tom Amer and myself have got to know our manager Mark Moss very well.
When he applied for the job his enthusiasum for the game was infectious and the hard work he has put in during the past two years has been immence!
Mark informed us two weeks ago that he had been awarded a full time job with Coventry City and as much as he wanted to continue managing Carterton Football Club he has become aware that with all of the work and time spent travelling with the Academy he would not be able to put the time in as he thought was neccessary to take the team forward.
I have put just below his statement that he put up on Facebook last night after yesterdays game against Tufley.
Mark Moss Statement
With a very heavy heart that I've decided to step down from Carterton FC. The lessons I've learned in my 2 years have been the most valuable in my footballing life. To everyone that has played for me and everyone that has supported me I thank you. With Nick Truman, Tom Amer, and Glynn Yeates the club has a very bright future. #ballonthefloor
Both Tom and myself and everyone connected to Carterton FC .
would like to take this opportunity to wish Mark all the best as he continues his football career with Coventry
He will always be welcome at the club and his time with the club will be fondly remembered!
All the best Mark from us all ;-)
P.S.
An announcement will be made regarding the managers position shortly!
