Training at CCRFC

Great little training session this morning at CCRFC in difficult conditions. We had sideways rain, wind, and lots of mud. Only 7 turned up today - (everyone else must of had and extra couple of hours in bed).

We started off with some simple warm up passing, and then moved on to some tackle bag smashing. Mums and Dads provided the support for the tackle bags and shields whilst the kids smashed into the bags, then teamed up to drive the shields back. Then we swapped for a while so that the kids could coach the parents. The highlight was seeing Mummy Edgehill smashing the bag with gruesome, "Don't mess with me", intent!!

The kids then did some passing drills within a grid with dads passing and receiving the ball outside the grid. We had short passes, long passes, inside passes, with everyone making lots of noise to receive, listening for the call and looking around for the pass backwards.

We had a small 5minute game of touch rugby to finish off.

Everyone gave 100% this morning for the whole 2 hours. Well done all, and thank you to the Mums and Dads for getting really involved.
