Chard Town have a re-arranged Les Phillips Cup tie on Saturday, when they visit Bristol side Roman Glass KO 3pm. The sides met last week in the league, drawing 2-2 at Zembard Lane, with the opposition equalizing with a last gasp penalty.
Chard who have been struggling for goals this season, will be without forwards Steve Friend (work) and James Boyland (holiday) but Nick Jacobs and Dave Duarte are back for the trip to the 3G pitch. Full back Pat Golden has left the club.
Reflecting on another dismal result at the weekend, Chard manager Paul Down stated, "Our failings in front of goal are costing us. We had good chances but it's not happening at the moment. With [Malmesbury] playing an hour or more with 10 men, it is very disappointing we could not take all three points. Confidence is low right now, we have to stick together and work through our problems and I am confident we will improve our results"
