After discussions with the management team and starting from this Saturday's match, we will be rolling out a new format for man of the match and player of the month.

Man of the Match
Scott's team would like the man of the match to be decided during the match (and announced over the PA at every home game). This may take the form of asking the match sponsor to decide the MOTM winner, or a group of supporters to give a consensus of their MOTM, or a member of Scott's management team will make the choice and contact the PA to announce it.

Player of the Month
The player of the month award will be done by a 'committee' of supporters, officials and management.

It was discussed that with only fans voting (usually via the website or twitter) it doesn't include contributions to training, commitment to the club and other aspects of being a player away from matchday.

September's Player of the Month
As a result, around a dozen of us discussed September's Player of the Month. There were votes for Lewis Riley-Stewart and Ryan Wynter, but the resounding winner was Will Whieldon.

Will played centre back, right back and his normal midfield during the month and, of course, scored that worldy of a strike versus Leamington.

Will will receive his Bowland Brewery beer this Saturday from his player sponsor, "Wrexham Scholars", who, ironically have two awards out of two for this season as they also sponsor August's winner Liam Kirton.
