Defeat on travels for Dundas' men
By Paul Mullins
Despite leading, Chasetown fell to a defeat for their final pre-Christmas fixture.
Chasetown made a great start with a goal after just 4 minutes. Josh Ollerenshaw presented the ball straight to striker Tom Hill who finished comfortably - his fifth goal of the season.
The Scholars then dominated the game and had the hosts very much on the back foot.
Mossley levelled though after an underhit knock back to the keeper saw Curtis Pond needing to concede a spot which Max Leonard fired home from 12 yards (24 mins)
Mossley took the lead just before half time as Ben Halfacre had a shot deflected past Pond - a lead Mossley barely deserved.
The hosts confirmed the points midway through the half. Chasetown gave the ball away and Mike Fish ran through and netted (62).
Mossley came close to a fourth but Pond repelled several attacks.
Late on, Chasetown were close to a consolation goal but George Cater was unable to find a way past Ollerenshaw.
