Chasetown took the lead after ten minutes when leading scorer Tom Hill unselfishly teed up Will Whieldon who couldn’t miss from 6 yards.

Play off semi finalists Radcliffe went two goals behind in the 17th minute. George Cater weaved his way through the defence and drilled low past Oliver Martin.

Chasetown felt they should have had a penalty for a push on Ryan Wynter in a first half that Chasetown dominated.

Radcliffe substitute Scott Metcalfe almost reduced the arrears at the start of the second half, only to be denied by a smart save by Curtis Pond.

Storm Hannah dominated the second half and chances at both ends were few and far between.
