

Chasetown traveled to Halesowen in the playoffs semi finals and left the fans in attendance waiting till the last minute for the game to be secured.
Halesowen started the stronger, when Richard Gregory hit a shot which was palmed wide by the keeper.
In the 12th minute the Scholars came close when Jack Langston had a shot blocked.
They came even closer minutes later when Danny O'Callaghan smashed the bar.
The game was evenly matched when Gregory stung Curtis Pond's gloves.
The gloves were stung again when Jack Holmes had a shot collected by Pond after shooting from the edge of the box.
In the second half Jack Langston unleashed a rocket which was comfortable for the keeper.
Halesowen almost scored against the run of play when Paul McCone blazed over goal.
Halesowen came close when McCone arrowed the ball over goal not long after.
Halesowen had a shot through Robbie Bunn causing a goalmouth scramble which ended when Pond pushed the ball wide for a corner.
On the 80th minute Daniel O'Callaghan had a shot that whizzed past the near post
Towards the end McCone had a shot that was ripped wide by Pond in the goal.
As soon as fans were preparing for extra time Chasetown gained a penalty when Joey Butlin was hauled down off ball and Jack Langston converted the penalty to send the Scholars through to the final at home to Belper this Saturday.
