U15s have fun in the sun

7 tries from 5 different scorers
Back to league action after a long break, Chelmsford hosted South Woodham Ferrers on a very sunny Sunday. South Woodham were suffering absences due to the half term holiday, so Chelmsford duly obliged and lent them some players. Full credit must go to the players who had a turn as opposition for their commitment to tackling and trying to beat their team mates.
Scoring was opened by Josh D, but he left himself a tricky conversion which was unconverted. Namesake Josh N, followed with a second try for Chelmsford, and Josh D converted making it 12-0. Chelmsford continued with their dominance, and added a third try via Finley, with Josh D's boot adding a further 2 points, making it 19-0. South Woodham opened their scoring account with a try late in the first half making it 19-5 at the break.
Chelmsford had the slight advantage of playing downhill in the second half, and this probably helped new recruit Oli R score an interception try. He collected the ball deep in the Chelmsford half and ran almost the full length of the pitch to score under the posts, leaving Josh D in a nice conversion position. This was converted, making the score 26-5. Josh N followed up with his own interception try, again converted by Josh D to stretch the Chelmsford lead to 33-5. Josh D scored another try which he converted making it 40-5.
After a shuffle of players playing for the opposition, Josh D added his third of the day, but this time for South Woodham, bringing the score to 40-10. South Woodham seem to rally after this score, and got a third try, and was converted to make it 40-17. With the final play of the match, Chelmsford's last try was scored by returning player Greg, and the conversion was made by William R. Final score 47-17 to Chelmsford.
