A win for Cherries 1 - just!!

The pre-match warm up started slightly sluggishly as some of the players were trying to shake of their hangovers from Joss’ hen do the night before. Cherries 1 settled into their game against Mission 1 and had to work hard in all areas as the score was very close for most of the first half. Mission worked hard at trying to retain their lead in the second half and Cherries 1 defence stepped up their game and worked tirelessly trying to turn Mission goals away and putting the game play back in attack. Going into the last quarter Cherries 1 were aware they had fallen slightly behind, but hard game play and by stepping into their reserves, bringing fresh legs on all helped to give Cherries 1 a win, albeit by one goal. A lovely game was had against the ever friendly Mission team.
