The first twenty twenty will have a 2pm start, with both teams being created as a mix of current and (hopefully) future CBCC players, with a chance to showcase your talents or get the arm working again. Once this has reached a conclusion, the second match will begin (at around 4:30). This will also have a t20 format, with the barbecue starting up after the match. This BBQ is free for all who take part in the day, as well as any supporters that wish to come and attend (Donations would be gratefully accepted). See you Sunday!
Here at Chesham Bois Cricket Club we encourage the chance to play cricket, at a standard that does not expect you to set the place alight with your ability. We play Sunday afternoon friendlies against other local clubs of a similar strength, and whilst our record is not the greatest we enjoy ourselves, and play to keep ourselves fit and active and not drifting around the home every weekend - much to the rest of the family's delight.
Therefore, come along and try out a bit of cricket with us, and get to know the members of the club, as we are hosting a day to promote our club to you so that you can enjoy your summer Sunday's just like we do. On Sunday 23 August, there will be the opportunity to play and become integrated with the club, with the view of playing a little bit more often.
Structure of the day:
Two t20 games that gives you the chance to dust off your whites, pads and bat, and get back to playing. You can re-kindle your skills in the field, at the crease, or with the ball in your hand.
A free barbecue and drinks will be available for you and your family throughout the day, because we know that sometimes family are just as excited to come and watch as you are to play
Times will be released closer to the date when we know how many are planning to take part.
If you're interested, please do not hesitate to take part and, hopefully, you will enjoy it so much that you want to play some more. If you have any questions whatsoever, just ask us whichever way is easiest (e-mail, phone, social media)
