All about CBH Juniors 2020

Junior Cricket Update 22 July 2020

Great news! Following the Government's advice (and under social distancing and hygiene conditions), we are now able to offer training and matches for most of our age groups.

Your child must be registered on LoveAdmin and membership fees must be paid in order for your child to be eligible for training and selection for matches.

To register your children (and yourselves), please follow this link https://app.loveadmin.com/ThirdpartyRegistration.aspx?clubID=83389f80175f9e6c5a03c4ea63797af7. You will need to select 1 membership category to begin with, additional child & adult members can be added before completing the registration process.

Having registered, you will receive an email saying that your membership will be reviewed. You should receive a second email within a day or so confirming your registration ‘approval’ followed by a payment request. We have kept the membership fees at early bird rates for the rest of the season.

If you would like to contribute less or are not able to contribute at the moment please reply to ANY emails stating the amount you would like to pay this season. All contributions are much appreciated and make a big difference. We would recommend a minimum of £15 if possible, this is the equivalent of an early bird social membership rate.

You can access your online account by clicking here: https://app.loveadmin.com/Login/83389F80175F9E6C5A03C4EA63797AF7.htm

Please note that payments will appear on your bank statement as ‘GoCardless’ with reference to Chester Boughton Hall CC Juniors. Any questions, please email Ene Pold on cbhccjuniors@gmail.com

YOUTH - Years 7-10 at school (U13s & U15s)

All members should have heard from your age group coach/manager already - if not, please email cbhccjuniors@gmail.com and we will ensure your details are passed to the relevant person.

U15s and U13s are now training at Boughton Hall on Monday evenings.

MINIS AND JUNIORS – Years 3-6 at school (U9s & U11s)

It has been great to see everyone back! The training for this age group will be from 6:30 – 7:45 on Fridays. Please make sure your child checks in at the registration table. All children will receive a sticker to put on their top so that the coaches can see they are checked in. I’m sure you are aware that we must keep an accurate record of children attending for track and trace purposes.

Most members have probably also heard from their age group coach/manager - if not, please email cbhccjuniors@gmail.com and we will ensure your details are passed to the relevant person. If you have signed up for ‘training only’ membership, you will not be contacted about match selection and availability by coaches but your child is free to attend all Friday training sessions.

TINIS – Reception – Year 2 at school (U7s)

With regret, we are not yet in a position to offer training sessions for our Tinis (Reception, Y1 and Y2). We would love to have everyone back at the same time, but due to the coach to child ratios (1:5), the hygiene conditions around equipment usage (bats and balls) we are not quite ready to cater for this age. As soon as we are able, we will set up some cricket for our most enthusiastic age group and really hope to see all their smiling faces back down at CBH as soon as is safe and practically possible.

KIT

We still have some sizes (mainly juniors and xxl) left of the Macer training and playing kit, all items are £10. You can try on and buy on Friday during MINIS and JUNIORS training session 6:30-7:45. Card payments only please!

We will notify you once new kit is available to order. Children are welcome to play in any whites if they don’t have CBH kit.

BAR

It's not necessary to book in the week, but we do require a booking for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so please follow the instructions for booking tables for Friday evenings especially as you won't be able to order from the bar, it's table service only and you need to pre-book a table:

Update, 6 July 2020

Hello Mums and Dads!

I'm very pleased to say that following the Government's advice (and under social distancing and hygiene conditions), we are now able to begin training for most of our age groups. For U15s and U13s, you may have heard from your age group coach/manager already - if not, please email cbhccjuniors@gmail.com and we will ensure your details are passed to the relevant person.

With regret, we are not yet in a position to offer training sessions for our Minis (Reception, Y1 and Y2). We would love to have everyone back at the same time, but due to the coach to child ratios (1:5), the hygiene conditions around equipment usage (bats and balls) we are not quite ready to cater for this age group I'm afraid. As soon as we are able, we will set up some cricket for our most enthusiastic age group and really hope to see all their smiling faces back down at CBH as soon as is safe and practically possible.

U15s are training at Boughton Hall on Sundays, 2-4pm. U13s are also at Boughton Hall on Mondays from 6.30-8.00pm.

U11s (Y6) will begin from Friday 10 July from 6.35pm at BH on alternate Fridays with U10s and U9s (Y5, Y4 and Y3) who will start on 17 July, again at 6.35pm. Please confirm your child’s attendance according to age group using the links below as soon as possible to help with our planning:

Eventbrite U11s

Eventbrite U9s / U10s

Could I please remind everyone that all children MUST be registered with CBH to take part in training. This is for insurance purposes.

To register your children (and yourselves), please follow this link You will need to select one membership category to begin with, additional child and adult members can be added before completing the registration process.

Having registered, you will receive an email saying that your membership will be reviewed. You should receive a second email within a day or so confirming your registration ‘approval’ followed by a payment request. We have kept the membership fees at early bird rates for the rest of the season.

Of course, it is difficult to say how much cricket will be played in the current situation so therefore, if you would like to contribute less or are not able to contribute at the moment please reply to any of the emails stating the amount you would like to pay this season. All contributions are much appreciated and make a big difference. We would recommend a minimum of £15 if possible, this is the equivalent of an early bird social membership rate. Please do not use the ‘adult social’ category, it’s a different form to junior registration!

Please note that payments will appear on your bank statement as ‘GoCardless’ with reference to Chester Boughton Hall CC Juniors. Any questions, please email Ene Pold on cbhccjuniors@gmail.com

Matches

Cheshire Cricket Board have asked us to indicate if we are willing to take part in matches this summer. We intend to reply positively.

Bar re-opening

The bar has now reopened, so if you're bringing your child/children down for cricket, you'll be able to have a drink now as well (hallelujah). It's not necessary to book in the week, but we do require a booking for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so please follow the instructions for booking tables for Friday evenings especially as you won't be able to order from the bar, it's table service only and you need to pre-book a table. More details here

Girls Cricket

Jo Herbertson and her brilliant team are now running girls socially-distant training every Tuesday at Boughton Hall from 6-7pm All ages and abilities welcome. The first session is free if you want to try it out, after that you can become a member of CBHCC to build up cricket skills, fitness and confidence. It's a thriving section and we recommend and sisters, nieces or cousins of current members give it go!
