Well it may have taken just the odd 51 years but our Di Totty has at last been recognised in the Welsh footballing world...
It's a long story...
As a school girl, Di was a hockey goalkeeper. Then, In 1969 after a practice night, she was asked by a firefighter, to take part in a charity football match for Deeside Firebelles.
The opposition was the well established Prestatyn Ladies, and the game raised £40 for a local charity. Despite losing 4 - 1 to Prestatyn, Di was asked to join them and as they say, the rest is history!
Since 1921 there had been a national ban on women playing football, unless for charity. That ban was lifted in 1971 and Di went on to play for the successful Prestatyn side for 14 years.
It was during this time that she was picked to play for Wales and made her debut in 1973, captaining the side on two occasions over the next six years.
Recently the Football Association of Wales recognised those early international footballers with the presentation of an official cap.
So somebody else at the Club with international honours!
Congratulations Di from all at CBH.
You can read more about it here and there's a documentary due to be broadcast on S4C on 22 October.
