Chester slipped to their second defeat of the season, humbled by 37 runs against Toft at Filkins Lane.

Lancashire's Rob Jones - not for the first time - scored a hundred at Chester to give the visitor's their first win of the season, leaving Chester to rue another batting let down.

Jimmy Lomas opted for Toft to bat first on another good Keggy wicket and alongside Jones (138), there were runs for Rohan Fernando (38). He and Jones added 87 for the fourth wicket.

Chester's bowlers had their moments, Martin Green again showing what a good asset he'll be with 4-34. Shakeem Clarke took 2-35 and Harry Killoran 2-73.

With Warren Goodwin suffering a hand injury in the field he was held back for the Chester reply, Rick Moore opening with Alex Money. Moore (14) was first to go, well caught at widish gully and Money, continuing his good form hit 36 before pulling to midwicket.

At 119-3 Chester still had plenty in the tank with Lee Dixon making 47 and Killoran 56.

But as with a fortnight ago, Jekyl and Hyde Chester then saw a procession of wickets. Goodwin came in at nine and was left stranded as his side folded for 219, losing eight wickets for 100. Lomas took 4-30 and Jones 3-47.

Chester 7 points, Toft 25 points.

Chester travel to Hyde next weekend.
