Junior Winter Training Update
Our winter programme is in full swing, led by Jamie Griffiths, who reports, “the players are working really hard, which is great to see. We have U9s all the way through to U15s and as we build through the programme, we will work on all aspects of the game. This week, for example, we focussed on bowling with a variety of drills relevant to the age of the players and with the aim of building strength and fine tuning actions”.
Jamie is being supported by first team regulars Atif Qureshi and George McCormack, with additional support from Cheshire’s finest in Rick Moore and Jack Williams.
Supplementing this vast experience are the junior player of the year 2021 - Alex Cotton - and one of the rising stars of Cheshire coaching, Will Fisher, who will all give the older players valuable insight on the transition into senior cricket.
We have a limited number of spaces available at Queens Park High School in Handbridge. Taking place on Friday evenings until 10th December, we have spaces for boys and girls at U9s and U11s age groups (school years 3-6) on a pay as you go basis. U9s is from 5-6pm and U11s from 6-7pm with parents welcome to stay to watch. The hour long session costs £12.50 per player and must be booked in advance by emailing Dave Atkin at email@example.com.
