Rob Massam, Ash Owen and Chris Blythe scored two tries each with Chris Pape, Declan Foy, Dan Rowett, Mark Hanson and Tom Bradfield also scoring.
The match was played in blustery conditions with some torrential rain threatening to produce a game littered with mistakes but Chester's 17-man squad were in exceptional form.
After a scrappy opening ten minutes, the Gladiators opened the scoring through Massam after some good work by Martin Cormack and Blythe extended the lead when he pounced on a loose ball before racing 80 metres for his first try of the game.
Further tries from Bradfield, Foy and Rowett gave Chester a 26-0 lead at the break as the home side struggled to contain the Gladiators attack.
Now playing into the wind, Chester produced some intelligent rugby in the second half as they dominated possession.
Blackpool's defence was unable to cope with some neat inside passes from Foy and Pape, who was named Man of the Match.
Foy created a try for the impressive Owen before Massam and Blythe claimed their second tries of the game as the Gladiators continued to rack up the points.
A momentary lapse in concentration saw the home side squeeze over for a try from close range but Chester responded with further tries from Owen, Pape and winger Hanson to seal an excellent win.
