Missing several regulars through injury and work commitments, Chester endured a nightmare start to the game and conceded three tries in the opening 10 minutes before temporarily stemming the flow.
However, an impressive and clinical Culcheth outfit showed just why they are top of the table and continued to rack up the points.
The Gladiators lost Billy Rennox and Mark Hanson to injury and were forced to field players in unfamiliar positions through the game and Culcheth took full advantage.
Forwards Rob Nixon, Jim Green and Luke Edwards worked hard for Chester but the home side's aggressive defence ensured scoring chances were at a premium for the Gladiators.
The final scoreline was perhaps slightly harsh on the Gladiators but Culcheth were well worth the victory and look likely to be in the title mix come the end of the season.
