J'Evans breaks his seasons duck with a brace ac Chew Valley overpower Old Bristolians at Lobbingtons in their first visit to Lobbingtons.

Chew Valley 33 Old Bristolians 7
England winger Georgina Crabb with the whistle on an exchange visit proved she knows the detail as Old B's lost two front row players with less than 35 minutes played, scrums went uncontested as Bristolians went down to 14 men.
By that time Chew Valley had two tries under their belt with winger Jack Evans grabbing his first of the season following a break from centre Charles Shallcross. The hosts followed that up with another from opposite winger Silas Cox who benefited from a weaving run from fullback Tom Bryan who left six tacklers flailing in his wake. Old B's changed their style with the introduction of 'Tiny'Tim Sandaye at tight head, their one out and drive tactic used instead of moving the ball wide which had been snuffed out by the midfield defence of Shallcross and fellow centre Andy McCormack. B's lost centre Ed Yanker which limited their attacking options further.
The Chew Valley defence stood firm as the visitors battered their line with close quarter work which was repelled.
At half time the visitors reorganised and scrums went contested and Evans added a second as Chew managed to strong some phases together. A second conversion from fullback Tom Bryan made up for some earlier missed shots as his technique deserted him.
A mistake and a charged down clearance from the restart presented Bristolians with a series of 5 metre scrums and No 8 Wayne Cochrane reached to score off the back of a five metre scrum while Chew Valley No8 Mitchell Quoi was taking an enforced rest for a technical offence. His try was converted and for the next 15 minutes the game stagnated in midfield.
Chew Valley then upped the tempo and second row Alex Cox scored from a linout move with Luke Sparkes- Brown providing off the top ball and a clear run to the line. Sparkes-Brown grabbed a try of his own as the visitors tired with the Chew Valley kick chase pressurising the visiting fullback, turning over the ball for the flanker to exploit the gap and sprint 30 metres to go in under the posts and make life easy for Bryan to convert his third of the half.
