Under 10's Plate Champions at Somerset Tournament!
The Somerset Under 10's Tournament was held at Hornets ground today.
Chew started the morning with a couple of close games, which they lost by a narrow margin.
Match 1 vs Wellington 2:1 loss (Henry D)
Match 2 vs Winscombe 3:1 loss (Fin)
The boys then got into their stride with three consecutive wins to reach the Plate final against Lemington Spa.
Match 3 vs Hornets A 4:2 win (Charlie F 2, Max, Henry B)
Match 4 vs Hornets B 6:1 win (Max, Henry, Dan, Harry, James, Tom)
Match 5 vs Minehead 4:2 win (Max 2, Tom 2)
The team was hungry for victory in the final and came away with a convincing 4:1 win.
Plate final vs Lemington Spa 4:1 (Henry 1, Tom 2, Fin 1)
From today's score lines we can see how impressive Chew's defence is becoming. They are a tough team to play against.
This is a testament to the 'team spirit' that has always been encouraged by our coaches, and is now paying off with the boys playing so well together.
