You could blame it on the late night and tour atmosphere but in truth there is a reason Kingsbridge are the Devon champions and that is because they are an extremely good team.
Chew had the upper hand in the forwards, just about, but it was in the backs that Kingsbridge won the game with the 10, 12 & 13 combination, big, fast and skillful, scoring the majority of the tries.
It was tough for the Chew boys, the first club loss for 17 months, but they did take it well and competition of this class should be welcomed.
Finally, it was great to see CVRFC ex player Sam Jones enjoying rugby with his new club after moving to south Devon.
