For our season opener and first competitive match since Co-vid disrupted sport, we were glad to welcome our neighbours, Wells. It proved to be somewhat one-sided with Chew scoring freely to go ahead 36 v 0 at the break. Chew eventually ran out 74 v 0 winners albeit there was evidence of ring rust in terms of quality of ball retention and decision making. Wells, for their part, mentioned they were integrating some new players and to their credit their heads didn't drop and they kept competing for every ball to the end.
