After 13 years, I have decided to step down as President of Chichester RFC. I feel the time is right for fresh energy and new ideas to guide the Club into its next chapter. I’m delighted that Stephen Bradford has agreed to take on the role - there could be no more fitting successor, particularly as the legendary Alan Bradford once persuaded me to follow in his footsteps!
Oaklands Pavilion remains the heart of our Club and is admired by all who visit. As both our rugby home and a valuable commercial venue, it will play a vital role in supporting the Club’s future as a thriving amateur side for many years to come.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed their time, effort, and resources to bring the clubhouse to life, along with the many other initiatives that make this such a special Club to be part of. In particular, I’m deeply grateful to all committee members who have made my role so enjoyable over the years - especially our Chairmen: Keith, David, Declan, and Paddy.
I look forward to seeing you at the bar.
Yours in rugby
Gareth
