As one season ends in glorious victory and promotion into the National Leagues so preparation starts for the new challenges to come. There is a huge amount going on & off the field with the clubhouse extension and refurbishment being a particularly large project alongside the senior squad development as we prepare for our first taste of National League rugby.

As can be seen above we need a large support staff to run a national league side; so my heartfelt thanks for everyone that contributes to getting our senior sides out onto the field.

Most of our structure is an evolution from the previous years although there are two people I would just like to mention. Danny Gray a Chichester boy through and through has stayed true to his word and returned to the blue and blue following a 10-year professional career including clubs such as Bristol, Exeter and Worcester. This is a tremendously exciting time for CRFC and everyone at the club is looking forward to Danny’s contribution on and off the field.

Lastly at our AGM we voted in Jon Lindsay as Club Captain - this is a role that we will look to revitalise from year’s gone bye. Jon will act as the player focal point for all senior players. He will form a players leadership group to represent ALL players and will lead that forum to ensure the coaching staff and indeed the senior committee are kept informed and sometimes challenged as to the way we do things.

Rob and I as part of a pre-season newsletter will send out further information on this aspect and indeed many other areas of senior rugby.
