Firstly I apologise for 2 things. 1. the fact that the match report has taken so long to write, and 2 that when you dont put the stats down its incredibly difficult to know what to put in the report, this one will be short and sweet.
All credit goes to Bournemouth, they played exceptionally and certainly exploited the fact that due to some serious injuries (Dave Leaver to Hospital for suspected broken leg, and Bradley Hughes having split his eye lid open), the Spartans for 20mins were reduced in numbers.
Having said that all the players played extremely well; Adam Geal, Reece Cavozzi, Bradley Hughes, Ubaka Onyekwelu and Dave Leaver, all playing their first matches of the season for the 2s.
Hinojosa was kicking and nudged two penalties in the first half, but chi could get no continuity as the side was constantly changing around. Onyekwelu scored the first try and Atu Saligua scored the last converted by Stu Pearham. This was no answer however for the efficent scoring of Bournemouth who totalled up 5 tries and 2 conversions.
Final score was a resounding 18-29 loss. The efforts of the lads can not be faulted. Well done to Bournemouth though!
