So I thought I'd write we would write Newsletter number 2!
Who would have thought the 2019/2020 season would have ended the way it did... BUT THE LADIES ARE STAYING UP!
We have to think about the safety of all our players and staff on this journey we are all experiencing.
We want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to you all for continuing keeping in touch with one another. The managers are still speaking with their teams through various social media. Football to a lot of people is a release, a release from their day jobs, home life's, school life, college life, university life - the list is endless! However one thing is certain - football brings everyone together.
At this moment in time we just want everyone who plays in green and white and their families to stay happy and healthy and of course stay at home!
We are super excited and highly focussed in continuing to provide female football to ladies and girls all across West Sussex. We love our home ground of Selsey FC and are delighted to say we aren't going anywhere, there was an option to go back to Oakland's Park however we unanimously decided against it for financial reasons. One thing to remember from the changes this season is to save the Club at all costs and not be pushed into financial ruin.
We survived, we carried on, we achieved, we had a little change around within our Club structure and our vision is clear.
We want to continue where we left off from the short season - we are settled, focused, highly motivated, and we can't wait to get started again (when we are allowed).
In the meantime a huge thank you to all our sponsors, this includes; individual, team, coaching staff and our programme sponsors - your continued support is always appreciated to help us provide high quality football to all female ages groups!
To our fans who travel all over the country with us - we hope you will continue to support us as we couldn't do this without you!
To our managers, coaches, back room staff and all the parents - you know how much we appreciate your time, energy and passion you give to Chichester City Ladies and Girls FC in association with Selsey FC. Our Club would not run without you guys, we will see you all soon!
We miss you all, stay safe, stay well and stay at home!
Best wishes
Sam and Sadie
