Ladies get their revenge after the defeat a couple of weeks ago.

On Sunday Shanklin ladies visited Oaklands park. The islanders were one of only three teams to beat Chichester in all competitions this season and the Green army were keen to settle this score. The home side started the game brightly much like Thursday night, with some good attacking football Shanklin were pinned into their half for the majority of opening 45 minutes. As in the away fixture Shanklin looked dangerous from set pieces being pumped into the Chichester box and were well organised defensively however they struggled to create chances from open play.

The home side opened the scoring in the first half when Willett, playing her penultimate game for the club before retirement, scored again to make it two in two. The goal came after an excellent corner delivery caused problems inside the box and allowed Willett to provide the finishing touch. Chichester looked like adding to their lead however it was Shanklin who scored next when a long ball forward wasn't cleared properly and a visiting forward rifled a volley hard into the net from just inside the area. The home side were bemused as to how they were going in level at the break after enjoying the lions share of the attacking football.

The second half continued much as the first left off with the home side dominating possession and restricting the visitors to looking to score on the break. Chichester continued to play exciting attacking football constantly looking to create chances as they stretched out the Shanklin players. The Chance would finally fall to Ambler and she took it brilliantly to put the home side into the lead. Shanklin tried to get themselves back into the game but were struggling to break down a well organised home side. The green army recorded their third victory in a row, an excellent run leading into their final game, away against Swindon on Tuesday night.
