Help Needed for the 2019 NatWest Rugby Force Weekend – Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd June 2019
Ladies/Gents, it is that time of year again, with less than 3 weeks to go to the 2019 NatWest Rugby Force volunteers’ weekend – a weekend where volunteers help improve the facilities and grounds at Chippenham Rugby Club.
Can you give a little bit of your time to help with a list of jobs to keep our club looking and operating at the highest level? It doesn’t matter if it’s an hour or 2 or a full day, we always appreciate the support of our members on this fabulous weekend.
As in previous years, we will have a number of dedicated projects to do at the club which don’t require specialist skills. These include:
• Improving the fence line along the A350 bypass
• Extending and improving the fencing around the pond
• Gardening - Grass cutting, strimming and weed removal
• Painting changing rooms and the changing room passageway
• Clearing out ditches
• Litter runs
• Filling in potholes
Please do not leave it up to the usual band of volunteers. As the saying goes ‘many hands make light work’, so let’s all come together for our club.
We will start each day at 10:00am where jobs will be allocated by the Club’s Business Support Manager, Rick McCabe. A BBQ will be fired up and drinks will be provided for all the helpers to help keep the energy levels up!
The club will provide whatever equipment is needed but if you have any equipment which will help in undertaking the above projects, it will be much appreciated – petrol grass strimmers, petrol hedge strimmers, safety equipment, painting material, tools for picking up rubbish etc.
If you have any questions or want to let us know you can help and can offer some of your time, please email Rick McCabe at Rick.firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone him on 07898 121122.
Thank you in advance
