The U11s have had an electric start to the 2016/17 season. With over 40 players on the books, including some 9 strong new recruits, the season really has started with a BANG!

The coaching team of Kevin Thornton, Rob Fielder, Rob Dowling, Rich Thomas, Nigel Malik and Jason Hulme have welcomed club stalwart Ben Shuker and Tim Ward onto the staff. Together the sessions have been vibrant and challenging, stretching both contact and handling skills.

The teams have been very difficult to breakdown and scoring tries for fun by playing a balanced wide and narrow game. The players have used vision, determination, game smarts and natural ability to set a high benchmark for the remainder of the season.

Friday night training has made a huge difference in terms of the players quality. New players have been fast tracked to a good level, which helps raise the bar across the squad. If your child is thinking of trying rugby, you would struggle to find a better group to learn with! As Lauren, Robyn and Alfie T (moving away) are in their last year with us we want to continue the momentum into the latter part of the year. So keep developing and see you in January for more scorched earth!
