The Bluebirds squandered numerous chances, before rescuing a point with a second half equaliser.
In the second minute Nick McCootie’s through ball saw Nat Jarvis spring the off side trap but the striker stumbled as he ran clear, but despite recovering he shot straight at Laurie Walker.
Seven minutes later a Josh Smile free kick went through everyone and out for a goal kick.
McCootie continued to be a thorn in the Hemel defence and on twelve minutes Frankie Musonda was booked for bringing him down.
A minute later James Guthrie’s free kick went straight to Walker.
On the quarter hour mark Guthrie’s shot was blocked by Walker and Jarvis’ follow-up was also blocked before the ball was cleared.
Guthrie then fired over whilst a Hemel breakaway saw Herschel Sanchez-Watt and Steve Cawley combine to set up Scott Shulton whose close range flick was smothered by Will Puddy on the line.
Karnell Chambers was then off target with an effort before a cross was flicked on by George Rigg and handled by Joe Howe but appeals for a penalty were ignored whilst a volley from Rigg went wide.
Hemel opened the scoring in the thirty third minute when a ball into the area was turned in by Tudors’ skipper Jordan Parkes.
Five minutes later McCootie raced across the area but could not fashion a shot and Jarvis took the ball off his toes but shot tamely wide.
Tariq Ossai then went on a run that saw his twenty five yard shot go wide.
Hemel’s Cawley could have doubled the lead in the first minute of the second half as he raced on to a long clearance but he fired wide. McCootie then layed the ball back for Rigg whose shot was blocked.
The Bluebirds equalised on fifty five minutes when Ossai’s low ball into the area saw McCootie place his low shot into a corner beyond the reach of Walker.
The first corner of the game didn’t materialise until just after the hour and from it Chippenham managed to hit the bar and then the post. Another Ossai shot was then blocked before Walker again came out on top as Chambers went through on goal. In the final ten minutes Rigg’s effort looped wide, whilst Hemel’s Darren Ward headed Parkes’ corner over, whilst in stoppage time Walker held Will Richards’ headed effort from a Guthrie free kick.
