Purps enter new Groundshare Agreement

City of Liverpool FC and Burscough FC can confirm that they have entered into an agreement for The Purps to play at The Community Ground for the next Seasons.

Paul Gilchrist, Chairman at Burscough FC said "We look forward to welcoming City of Liverpool FC to the Community Ground. I'm confident that the Volunteers, Members, Supporters and Football Staff will enjoy the fantastic facilities we have on offer.

We're excited to make them feel truly welcome and at home."

On behalf of the Board of Directors at COLFC, Chairman Paul Manning said "We are delighted to play at the Community Ground, and look forward to working with Paul and his team at Burscough FC.

We'd like to thank Bruce and all of the staff at DCBL for their help, along with the Committee at NWCFL for allowing us to make this move so close to the start of the new season.

Our first game at our new home is on Sat 2nd August in the FA Cup v Euxton Villa. There is a new bar at the ground with a balcony overlooking the pitch and good food available."

As the Football Association have approved this late change of venue, NWCFL Chairman Chris Stirrup said "it's pleasing to see Member Clubs helping each other out and we as a league wish both Clubs the best of luck with this new venture, with thanks to The Football Association for their support in this matter."

Here's to a strong partnership and a bright future for two clubs with proud histories and passionate support.
