Clacton are now the only side in the competition boasting an unbeaten league record, following a four wicket victory at home to Boxted seconds. Sundip Patel (94) top scored in the Boxted total of 194 for 9, and was unlucky to be run out just short of his century. Tim Berry (28no) had given him good support, in the latter stages of the innings. Wayne Surrall (3 for 43) was the pick of the Elbows bowlers. In reply Clacton were struggling early on before skipper James Grange (74) and Andrew Young (41) steered them to victory. Patel backed up his batting performance by being the most successful Boxted bower with 2 for 55, although Paul Harris 1 for 16 from 7 had bowled tightly early on.
