Clanfield are delighted to have bolstered their midfield options by obtaining Andy Barton’s signature from fellow Hellenic league opposition Shrivenham FC.

Andy, the former Wantage Town midfielder, has been enthused by the project going on at Clanfield 85 FC who are attracting and developing young local talent. Andy’s experience playing at a Hellenic standard for a number of years will give our young and talented squad invaluable guidance on the pitch. Off the pitch Andy is everything a young group of players needs as an example. We expect that his attitude and commitment to playing at this standard will rub off on the rest of the players.

Unfortunately the paperwork was not completed in time for Saturday's fixtures so will look to make his debut on 3rd November.
