All 14 of our teams played on Saturday morning with half at home.

Both under 9’s teams were in Lion Cup action and both teams recorded wins to seal their places in the semi finals.

Harry O’Donnell scored a hatrick for the Whites, with Thomas Woodhouse-Smith scoring twice, Alessio Murphy and a Milo Culley also on target.

Olly Clayden was the hatrick man for the Reds with Jack Haigh and a Barnaby Smith-Edmunds penalty completing their scoring.

The Under 8s Reds played out a draw at Braishfield Bees with a goal each from Max Organ, Rory Bruce-Ball and Jacob Rowe. The latter as a result of a strong run down the left wing and cross into the box from Albert Hatfield.
A special mention to Ed Russell for great positional awareness, who constantly dropped in to cover when team mates pushed forward.

Their Whites counterparts enjoyed a good morning as they travelled to Worthys Reds. They started brightly and took an early lead in an action packed first 2 quarters which included a penalty save from Gene Dunn and some heroic defending from all the team.

The training sessions are clearly working and evidence with various pass and movements put together throughout the match. A hatrick from Carlos Campbell a couple of braces by Dom Pike and Charlie Maryon and a Kydon Broderick goal rounded off a great match. Assists by Gene Dunn, Seb Punter and Charlie Maryon made these goals possible.

The under 14’s saw Steph Gilpin net a hatrick in a 5-0 away win at Upper Clatford.
Jago King linking up well with the midfield while Caleb Richter did well in a central midfield role winning a lot of tackles to create chances for the attacking players.
Jacob Nicolson and a Tom Crouch volley from a corner completed their win.

The under 15’s battled hard but went down 5-2 at Ringwood Town. Jacob Curtis and Callum Bottle on the scoresheet.

Both the under 13’s were at home with both battling hard in defeat.
The Whites were down to the bare bones and played most of the game with 9 players, but they showed great spirit in a 4-2 loss, Fin Lewis scoring twice.

The Reds narrowly lost to the league leaders South Newton & Wishford 3-2 with Craig Lomotey scoring his first two goals for the club.

The under 18’s went down 4-0 away to top of the table North Waltham.

Oscar Smith scored for the under 11’s at they battled out a draw at home to Porton.

The under 7’s Whites travelled to Downton Reds with Charlie Greens goal not enough to avoid them slipping out of the Lion Plate.

Our other three teams all played friendlies at home.

The under 10’s Reds played two matches against Durrington Raptors. Raptors weathered out a fast start from the hosts, with their keeper in fine form and some good last ditch tackles before taking the lead. Although Harry Lewis levelled, Raptors led again at the break.

A second half hatrick from Frankie Moody and strikes from Ollie Hunt, Joey Ball, and Josh Dutnall completed the scoring in the first match.
In the second match, Oliver Calais showed good footwork to set up a chance before a fine move down the right saw Gabriel Williams cross for Tristan Taylor to slot home. Moments later Tristan’s good work set up Caidan Lawes to tap in at the far post.
A good team move starting with Lucas Hemmings saw Ollie Hunt score before he turned provider for Gabriel to finish.

The under 10’s whites competed well against Broughton Buffalos but just couldn’t get on the scoresheet in their two friendlies.

The under 7’s Reds hosted Whitchurch Blacks with the whole squad enjoying a good run out. Jay Burden, Charlie Malcolm and Sam Harris all scored twice with Luca Potgieter and player of the match Toby Loveridge recording a deserved goal for his relentless attacking and working with his team resulted in his brilliant goal.
