Another busy weekend across the club with a first win in competitive action for the Mens First team

With the Hampshire league declared null and void, the league set up a champions league style challenge cup.

Travelling to Michelmerch & Timsbury for their opening game, Ollie Steed fired home an early rocket to set them on their way before Under 14’s manager Rob King fired home a second.
Despite the hosts scoring late on, Clarendon saw out the game to win 2-1.

The Sunday men’s team hosted Alderbury in a friendly. Lucas Bergman-Brown grabbed 4 goals with Asher McKeown’s effort being helped in by an Alderbury player and Lewis Wakeford scoring in a 6-4 win.

In the Juniors section, the under 16’s Reds picked up where they left off before lockdown with back to back 4-0 wins against Fordingbridge in a double header at Barrys Field.

Eden Cavanagh, Evan Osborne, Jacob Curtis and an own goal saw them record three points in the first fixture before goals from Curtis, Tom Mitchell, Finn Bergstrom and Leo Kamal sealed their second three points of the day.

The under 16’s whites fell to a 2-0 defeat at league leaders Andover New Street earlier in the week.

The under 14’s Reds recorded a superb 2-1 win at unbeaten AFC Hiltingbury Hurricanes who relinquished top spot following goals from Ollie Norman and Warren Nesmith.

The Whites hosted a double header with Whitchurch Blacks the opposition. Having gone down 1-0 in the first match, they turned the tables in the reverse fixture thanks to a goal from Matt Ball.

The Under 12’s also had back to back games as they travelled to Littleton Juniors.
First up, Oscar Smith and George Sutton scored to give them a 2-0 win, before Sutton scored in the second fixture but it wasn’t enough to avoid their first defeat of the season.

The under 11’s Reds hosted a strong Worthy Park side who took the lead, before Joey Ball scored either side of a Frankie Moody goal.

The under 10’s battled hard away to CK Andover but couldn’t quite get on the scoresheet.

There was names on the scoresheet for the under 10’s Whites though as they faced Andover New Street. Harry Moody netted 4, while Jack Doe and Dexter Smith butte grabbed doubles.

Ollie Clayden scored twice for the 10’s Reds at home to Overton Blues with Jack Haigh and Fin Evans also netting.

There was a first club hatrick from Albert Hatfield in the under 9’s Reds game at Overton Whites. Rory Bruce-Ball grabbed two goals with Jack Stephens, Jacob Rowe, Max Organ and Fin Ball also scoring.

FUNFACT: It was the first time that 4 different players with Ball in their surname had scored on the same day!

The under 9’s Whites warmed up for their cup final next week with a friendly at Lymington Sprites. Stanley Knight scored twice, with Carlos Campbell, Gene Dunn and own goal.

The under 8’s whites, fell to defeat in their cup semi final. Charlie Green scoring their goal.

The Reds played a friendly at Broughton with two goals apiece from Luca Potgieter and Charlie Malcolm and a Sam Harris strike.

Toby Woodhouse-Smith scored twice for the Under 7’s Reds as they hosted Whitchurch Reds.
